Okay, so I have a quick confessional to make. Before arriving here, I didn’t look at any of the presentations that were on the docket for SXSW, so I had absolutely no idea where I’d be going or what I’d be doing on any particular day. Really nice planning for my industry’s biggest shindig, don’t you think?
This morning, I looked over the schedule of presentations, and I was pleased to see some really pertinent stuff on the docket at very convenient times. So, now I’m excited about the learning prospects in addition to the networking potential that exists here.
Besides SXSW, Courtney and I are having a freakin blast. The weather is awesome, and things have really fallen in place for us to have the time of our lives while we’re here.
Honestly, I thought I’d be meeting my new contacts, friends, and clients during the trip, and I figured I’d just play it by ear in terms of day-to-day activities. Unfortunately, nearly all of them have had to drop out of this year’s festivities due to some extremely sad/terrible/mournful/unfortunate/unexpected family situations. My thoughts are going to be with them this week, and I wish them the best.
I’ll have to pay twice as much attention now, however, because I’ll be the only pair of eyes and ears here for the show!
